Privacy Policy

Effective October 16, 2026

You can play Daily Dino Dig (formerly Tetrassic) without an account. Signing in is optional. We don't show ads and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• In your browser: a random device ID, your saved games, streak and settings, and a cached gold balance (local storage).
• Gameplay: your daily results (puzzle, digs used, win, fossils found, time), your gold balance and history, and which rewards you've claimed. Stats shown to other players are anonymous.
• Ad links: on your first visit, the link's utm_ campaign tags and the referring site's domain, tied to your device ID.
• If you sign in: your email address and display name. With Google sign-in we also get your Google account ID, name and profile-picture link. For each signed-in browser we keep a hashed session token, your device ID and browser type.
• Sign-in codes: stored only as a keyed hash, along with a keyed hash of your IP address for rate limiting. We never store raw IP addresses.
• Gold pack purchases (signed-in only): which pack you bought, the amount charged (including any tax) and currency, the payment and refund status, and Stripe's IDs for the checkout session and payment. We never see or store your card number or other payment details; you enter those on Stripe's checkout page.

Why

We use this to run the game and save your progress, keep gold and rewards fair (one-time rewards, rate limits), and sign you in. We only email you sign-in codes.

Who processes it

• Cloudflare: hosting, database, sign-in emails, and analytics.
• Google: Sign in with Google (only if you choose it), and fonts.
• Stripe (Link): sells gold packs to you as merchant of record (only if you buy one). Stripe receives your payment details, email address, name and billing address directly, plus your account ID and the pack you chose, and uses them to process the payment and to calculate and pay sales tax or VAT, under the Stripe Privacy Policy and Link Privacy Policy.

Our pages load Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless page-view stats) and Google Fonts, so Cloudflare and Google receive standard request data such as your IP address.

Google sign-in data

We request only the openid, email and profile scopes. We use them only to sign you in and suggest a display name, and we don't keep Google tokens. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

We set cookies only when you sign in, and both are essential:

• a session cookie (__Host-tsid);
• a 10-minute cookie that protects Google sign-in.

We use no ad or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

• Sessions: until you sign out or after 30 days unused, and 365 days at most.
• Sign-in codes: they expire in 10 minutes and are deleted after 48 hours.
• Accounts: until you delete them.
• Guest records: kept while the game runs, linked only to the random device ID.
• Purchase records: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, including after you delete your account (then no longer linked to you).

Deleting your data

• Accounts: in the app, go to your account and choose Delete account. This immediately deletes your account, email address, name, sign-in links and sessions, and forfeits its gold (including purchased gold), dinos and cosmetics. Gold history, purchase records and game results stay, but they're no longer linked to you.
• Guests: clear this site's data in your browser, and email support@dailydinodig.com if you also want your server records deleted.

Builder submissions

When you use "Submit to DailyDinoDig" on builder.dailydinodig.com, we receive your dino picture, its design code, your email address, and any dino name, name and note you add. We use your email only to reply about your dino and don't add it to any mailing list. We may share your dino on our site or social channels, credited by the name you gave or shown anonymously if you left it blank. To keep the form free of spam, we store a hashed version of your IP address for a short time, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're human. To have a submission removed, email feedback@dailydinodig.com.

Children

Daily Dino Dig is not directed to children under 13. If a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
